Card Tuesday

Am going to try this blog thing again and hope I have better luck than the last post.  I spent yesterday making cards for our stores Staff Studio and came up with the ones posted here.  Getting a little ahead of myself, but having several of these little boys already colored and ready to go, I put together these Father Day Cards.  I found this little oem in my Progression of Expressions book by Betsy Flot and it fit Perfectly with the picture.
Couldn't resist using it!
This is one of my newer Phyllis Harris Stamps (the little boy above was a Phyllis Harris, too).  I added a punched butterfly for a 3-D affect.
These are two Angie Blom stamped cards.  Loved finding and using some matching washi tapes on them.  Fun!
and a little edge of washi inside, too.
and my favorite is this one--another Phyllis Harris design.  I got my
multi media "stuff" out and used stone effect Paste for the sand and my sparking h2o's on the water and sun.  having some problems today posting, but finally got spellcheck to work some.:)   wow, wonder what is wrong with my computer--not the weather today, I guess.    At any rate, this was my cardmaking of yesterday.  Hopefully, I will be able to update successfully again, soon!  Have a great day and prayers to all those in Boston!

Catch up time---Lookin' back on a week-----or two!

Wel
it's sorta almost trying to turn into spring here on the farm--there are signs, though I must say they are few and far between.  Mother Nature almost acts like it's a strain to crank out anything"spring like"!  The first sign was a couple of baby calves born a couple of weeks ago.  We're suppose to have 5 of them, but I guess the other Mamas are waiting it out for warmer weather.  This is June Bug with her baby--named Cricket by Hannah and Paige.  Her bigger sister Lightening Bug will be shown by Hannah this year as a Breeding Heifer.  Mama and bother her girls look just alike!

This little guy is "Snickers" born to Hershette (a former show calf).  He's a little cutie!

Aside from that, after looking very closely at a very sheltered lilac bush, and finally seeing a few "buds" and a few little leaves popping out of  the ground---there is very little sign of spring!  I guess I will have to include the very cold spring rains, even though it feels very winter like with the blowing winds and temps in the 40's.

Yesterday, (the 13th)

Yesterday, the 13th, the boys came out for awhile to play.  They don't mind if it's spring weather or not--they'll play out doors, no matter what.  so Nicholas practiced his casting on dry line.  Must of paid off at some point, as this was his first catch of the season!
They also collected an assortment of "treasures" to take home with them.   The tractor, Aiden had found earlier in the day at buried in the woods at his own house-just brought it along to show Grandma and Grandpa!

Then it was off to Mc Donald's for supper before heading home again for baths and bed.  For desert, Nicholas had an icecream cone.  Aiden wanted a Chocolate cone , but there was NO chocolate ice cream! (or twist either!), so after much indecision, he decided on chocolate chip cookies.

Of course, eating their desserts was not without "Boy Antics"--eating the bottom off the cone first and sucking the ice cream out the bottom.   Yup they are all boy!

and making "shapes " out of your cookie.
and while I'm bragging up my all boy Grandsons---just wanted to add that Aiden had a painting of his chosen to be on display at the Fisher Community Center in Marshalltown for the whole month of April.  Very proud of him--he's only in kindergarten!  Would like to think he inherited some of his awesome creativeness from his Grandma--just never know!
Speaking of creativeness this past couple of weeks---we had GNO (Girls Night Out) this past week---such awesome projects always imerge from all these very creative ladies.  We are never dissapointed!

We share so many unique and beautiful projects and learn so much in the process.

THis was a card I made--a new technique for me--masking.  Once I practiced a few times, I got the hang of it.  Plan on doing a lot more of it.  Love the affect.
Then it was on to a 2 day crop--all packed up with a little extra toy, packed by Ella.  Think she thought I would take her along --NOT!

Once at the crop, our table took on the look of a whole craft room on one table!  Really?? do you really need that much stuff for a few pages and cards????

At any rate, we had a great time--did get several pages done and several cards.  Pages already went home with the boys for their SB's.  Below are some of the cards.

One of my favorites.  Really loved how the colors on this card went together.  Fun!

THis is one of my newer stamps by Phyllis Harris.  Gotta love puppy kisses in the morning!

THe above card is one of my favorite stamps.     And the last picture I wanted to share was a little IKEA cart

I ordered the little cart and it finally came yesterday.  I couldn't wait to get it put together and filled up.  I LOVE it!!!  It is now my Mixed Media Cart and holds all my mixed media supplies
